Rain
May my love
Fall like rain.
A soft and muddy rain
Where the beads of water
Tumble and slowly roll
Though the curves and contours
Of your shape.
May the smell of your skin
Linger in the wind
As the raindrops splash in the streets
Daylight fades and colors drop from
The sky
But Now is not the time
To be shy.
Do not skulk in doorways
Or shelter your eyes from
The coming storm.
Instead just let the rain
Wash over you.
Until you are standing wrist deep,
Soaked to the bone,
Wet to your core,
And happy….
